We love our board games here at Pop Culture and Coke (I personally have walloped my boyfriend in every single game of Small World we have ever played).

So we’re very much looking forward to March 30, the first ever (probably) International TableTop Day. Created by Wil Wheaton (of Star Trek: TNGThe Big Bang Theory, and general internet geek fame) and Felicia Day (see Dr. Horrible’s Sing-a-long BlogThe Guild and Supernatural), International TableTop Day will be a day for gamers or those interested in gaming around the world to attend events at game shops or to host their own event.

Geek & Sundry, Day’s multimedia company (including the YouTube channel that hosts Wheaton’s series TableTop), is teaming up local game stores and major publishers to host the event.

No word yet on whether it will reach Australia, but we’ll keep you posted.

Check out Wil Wheaton’s interview with the LA Times here.
