Justice has a name. And the name that it has, besides justice…is apparently Batman. And Superman. (That joke was much too easy to make.)
There are some superheroes with legacies, and there’s no doubt that Batman and Superman are among them. It’s also clear that superheroes are great for studios hip pockets, with another ten superhero films in the next four years expected to hit from Marvel properties alone. So it’s not particularly surprising that Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy had barely come out before they were planning to reinvent him as Ben Affleck.
According to their Facebook page, principal photography is underway in Metro Detroit, Michigan. While I could care less about director Zack Snyder, apparently Gal Godot has been upgraded from a featured character to a starring role as Wonder Woman, which should be fantastic. The film will also star Henry Cavill reprising his role as Superman, Ben Affleck replacing Christian Bale as Batman, as well as Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane from Man of Steel and Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons and Holly Hunter.
Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to open worldwide on May 6, 2016 – only two more years to wait, DC fans! Keep up to date at their shiny new website, and keep in touch with us on our Facebook and Twitter! What are your thoughts on this film?
