Legendary singer/songwriter Paul Kelly will be joining recorder virtuoso Genevieve Lacey, composer James Ledger and ANAM musicians in his new song cycle, Conversations With Ghosts.

Conversations With Ghosts is co-written by ARIA Hall of Fame inductee Paul Kelly and WA composer James Ledger and is “a bittersweet reflection on the nature of mortality and an uplifting memorial to those who have been lost”. It will be performed by Paul Kelly (vocals and guitar), James Ledger (electronics), Genevieve Lacey (recorders) and ten ANAM musicians.

The 12 new songs in the song cycle have been inspired by poems including W.B. Yeats’ ‘The Lake Isle of Innisfree’, ‘One Need not be a Chamber to be Haunted’ by Emily Dickinson and ‘Ring Out, Wild Bells’ from Lord Alfred Tennyson.
