So what’s been happening this week in pop culture?

  • Check out the Hottest 100 for this year – Vance Joy’s ‘Riptide’ topped it, followed closely by Lorde’s ‘Royals’ and Daft Punk’s ‘Get Lucky’.
  • Gossling is back with a new single, ‘Harvest of Gold’, and also with a kooky VIDEO and gold-plated remix via YesYou.
  • Have you tried watching Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D yet? Opinion is divided (personally, I quite enjoy it). If you’re one of the ones who gave up, Clark Gregg does not like you: the actor who plays Phil Coulson says, “Those aren’t geeks. Those are losers.”
  •  If you’re a Woody Allen fan or if you’re not, this might be interesting, as well as fairly harrowing. Dylan Farrow writes an open letter to her childhood abuser, Woody Allen. Read it here (trigger warnings for abuse, rape).
  • Turns out that J.K. regrets putting Hermione and Ron in a relationship. At least according to Hypable.
  • Quicksilver’s costume. Jesus Christ, Quicksilver’s costume.
