Squetch! Bang! Oh my! The Radio Variety Hour is back for three evenings only!

radio variety hour

Ever fans of trios, comedians Lauren Bok, Bert Goldsmith and Sam Marzden return to present three unique aural universes. Discover the out of this world tale of Space Captain Jet Propulsion, solve the case with Joan Jackson: Female Private Detective, and wander the strange street that is Peculiar Avenue. Let your eyes be delighted by the ‘behind the scenes’ performance, as Bok, Goldsmith and Marzden squish jelly and drop cabbages, creating their own sound effects, and sometimes their own lines, live on stage at the Butterfly Club. With faithfully reproduced radio advertisements straight out of the 1950s, Radio Variety Hour is a thoroughly modern take on classic entertainment.

Radio Variety Hour have been kind enough to give Popculture-y readers the opportunity to win a double pass to see the show! We have two to give away. To enter, simply comment below or on the Facebook post with your name and your preferred evening. Winners will be drawn at 12pm on Wednesday December 16.

Radio Variety Hour is on at the Butterfly Club Wednesday the 16th, Thursday the 17th and Friday the 18th of December. The show starts at 7pm and tickets range between $25 and $32.
